Although we are thrilled to share our lives with all of you, the primary reason for this blog is to keep friends and famliy updated on our experience with our daughter who passed away as a result of complications from her prenatal diagnosis of Congenital Diaphragmatic Hernia (CDH) and a heart defect known as Double Outlet Right Ventricle (DORV). Avery Mae Keirsey was born May 12, 2009 and died July 14, 2009.

ReplyDeleteDear Lord, please surround these drs and nurses with wisdom and insight. Give Shane and Carissa peace.
ReplyDeleteDear Father, Please watch over little Avery and show the doctors exactly what is causing her little body to swell. Please let the procedure be successful and let this be a giant step forward for this little girl. Please give Shane and Carissa peace throughout the procedure and beyone. In Jesus's name, Amen.
ReplyDeletePraying that the procedure is a success and that the cause of Avery's swelling is immediately apparent to the physicians. She is such a fighter and I am standing in faith of her healing! I pray for peace for both you and Shane throughout each moment. We will be awaiting an update.

ReplyDelete"Our suffering is not pointless; it is not meaningless. At least in part, our suffering is mandated by God so we can strengthen and edify our brothers and sisters in Christ so that they, and we, may strive toward Christian maturity. “Your suffering does not just belong to you. You are members of a body. Your suffering is for the body’s maturity as much as it is for yours. Your suffering is there to build up the church of Christ. It is there for the people of God to be given faith and hope and confidence in the hour of their trials. Your suffering is also the body’s suffering because one of God’s purposes in suffering is the maturity of the whole church.”
